1987 fue un año importante para la música anglo: se lanzaron álbumes como The Joshua Tree, cuyo legado será recreado en vivo por U2 en Chile el próximo 14 de octubre, Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me de The Cure o Appetite for destruction de Guns N' Roses, por nombrar sólo tres.
Por ello, el portal Consequence of Sound elaboró un listado con las 25 mejores canciones que se lanzaron ese año. Piezas que, en sus palabras, definieron el sonido de los años ochenta y que "no pudieron haberse producido en otro tiempo, y que todavía nos hacen sonreír, bailar y cabecear".
El listado está liderado por la inmortal "Where The Streets Have No Name" de U2, y tiene a artistas como INXS, Aerosmith, Michael Jackson, The Smiths, Prince y los mencionados The Cure y Guns N' Roses.
